This article aims to list all computer games that provide support for the Roland MT-32 family of sound modules.
Contents |
(1) Uses additional sound effects only found on the MT-32 compatible CM (Computer music) modules.
(2) Incompatible with MT-32 (Old), producing buffer overflows and causing broken sound or firmware lock-ups. (*) However, when the MT-32 (Old) is used with a patched DosBox (Introduce optional sysex delay to MIDI (MT-32 rev00 fix)) these games will work fine. Enabled by dosbox.conf: "midiconfig=# delaysysex"
(3) Exploits software bugs of MT-32 (Old) modules' firmware; will on some occasions sound wrong on later-generation modules.
Italic titles indicate that the music is known to have been originally composed for a sound output device other than the MT-32, stated in parentheses.
The following games claim to be MT-32 compatible (for example, in their setup programs), but are not, for example because they play General MIDI data instead.
